Jeevan Pramaan Patra submission: Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) is a mandatory document for pensioners, which is necessary for timely payment of pension and to get the outstanding amount. It is a digital life certificate, which uses biometric technology and Aadhaar related verification. Pensioners can deposit it both online or offline. The next deadline for submitting the life certificate is 30th November 2024, for which there is very little time left to end.
How to submit life certificate?
Pension is paid in the next pension cycle only after the life certificate reaches the Central Pension Processing Center (CPPC) and is processed. You can use these methods to submit the life certificate before the deadline:

For operator authenticationOpen Jeevan Pramaan app.

Enter Aadhaar number, mobile number and email.

For OTP verificationSubmit the OTP sent on registered mobile and email.

for face scanningAllow camera access and face scan.

The information sought about the pensioner, i.e.Enter Aadhaar number, pension account number, PPO number and pension type.

Select the disbursing agency i.e. the pension paying agency and review all the details and submit.

How to submit life certificate offline?
To submit life certificate offline, you will have to go to bank, post office or other designated locations and submit the certificate in person. Pensioners aged 80 years or above can deposit it in October and November. This certificate remains valid for one year or till 30th November of the next year.

What will happen if deposit is not made by 30th November?
Life certificate is an important document for pensioners. Submit it on time keeping in mind the deadline of 30th November 2024. Whether the process is online or offline, this step is mandatory to avoid delay and unnecessary hassle in pension payment. If this is not done before the deadline of November 30, there may be a delay in pension payment from December. In the long term, this may cause financial inconvenience to pensioners. In case the certificate is not submitted for three years or more, approval from the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO) is required to resume payment. By submitting the certificate on time, not only the pension is paid without any hassle, but the outstanding amount is also easily recovered.
