Earlier, NTA had said through one of its notifications that Section B of JEE Mains Entrance Test Paper will no longer be optional. That means, according to the subject, now there will be only 5 questions instead of 10 in Section B of the paper. Candidates who want to score better will have to attempt all the questions.
In view of the Corona Pandemic, the pattern of JEE Mains entrance test was changed in 2021. Due to this change, 10 questions were being given in Section B of the test paper instead of 5. Candidates had to do any 5 out of 10. However, now the old pattern has been adopted again for the JEE entrance test. Now a total of 75 questions will be asked in the exam, out of which there will be 25-25 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The entrance test will be of total 300 marks.
