Jasper Philipsen has won the 10th stage of the Tour de France between Orléans and Saint-Amand-Montrond, beating Biniam Girmay, Pascal Ackerman, Wout Van Aert and Fernando Gaviria. The Belgian thus achieved his first victory in this Tour de France, after failing in two previous attempts in which he finished second. The peloton broke up with three kilometres to go, with the sprinters and their pace-breakers accelerating the pace of the race, after a calm stage in which the only concern for the favourites was the sprints, that is, not being split into two groups.
That was not the case, so in the general classification there was no change, with Slovenian Tadej Pogacar still in the lead. Behind the yellow jersey are Remco Evenepoel, 33 seconds behind, and Jonas Vingegaard 1m 15s behind. In the top 10, Juan Ayuso is fifth (2m 16s behind), Carlos Rodríguez seventh (2m 31s behind) and Mikel Landa eighth (3m 35s behind).
