Janmashtami 2024 Date and Time:There is a different kind of enthusiasm and excitement among the devotees regarding the birth celebration of Lord Krishna. Krishna Janmashtami is falling on this day
This time Janmashtami is falling on two different dates. It is being said that the festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on Monday, 26 August in Mathura, the birthplace of Shri Krishna, while in Vrindavan, the birth anniversary of the Lord will be celebrated on Tuesday, 27 August.

When and where will the main event of Janmashtami take place?
Like every year, this time too the main event of Shri Krishna Janmashtami will be held in Mathura, the birthplace of the Lord. Janmashtami will be celebrated here on 26 August and like every year, worship will be done with full rituals at midnight. Shri Krishna Janmashtami will also be celebrated in the ISKCON temple on the same day i.e. 26 August 2024.

Will there be celebration of birthday celebration in Banke Bihari temple on this day?
A special event is organized on the occasion of Janmashtami at the famous Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan, which is called the playground of Shri Krishna. Since Janmashtami is being celebrated on 27 August in Vrindavan, the event here will also be held on the same date.
