Turkish swimmer Berke Saka won the gold medal at the European Junior Championships in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2.00.04.
The men’s 200-meter individual medley final of the European Junior Championships was held in Rome, Italy.
National swimmer Berke Saka became European champion with a time of 2.00.04. Another Turkish athlete, Sanberk Yigit Oktar, finished 7th in the race with a time of 2.03.51.
Ukrainian Vadym Naumenko won silver and German Cedric Buessing bronze.
In addition, Berke Saka swam in the 100-meter backstroke final, with a time of 54.91, becoming fourth in Europe.
