Ten districts in the state today issued a yellow alert. The alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Warning of heavy rains in Central Kerala. Orange alert was issued in 6 districts on Tuesday and Wednesday. Orange alert has been declared in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki and Ernakulam districts. The Central Meteorological Department has issued new directions as the rains continue in various districts. The authorities have also released information on the water level in the major dams in Kerala as the rains continue.
