Corona cases have decreased in the country and the question amidst all this is whether the second wave of corona is over. The Ministry of Health currently believes that the second wave of corona is not over yet. Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said on Thursday that the reduction in Covid cases still remains but the pace at which we want the reduction is not happening. The second wave of corona is not over yet.
Keep an eye on both Kerala and Maharashtra

At present there are 3,01,000 active cases in the country. The recovery rate is 97.8%, this rate is increasing continuously. At present there are more than 1 lakh active cases of Covid in Kerala, more than 40,000 cases are in Maharashtra.
Rajesh Bhushan said that it is necessary that we still maintain the Covid behavior. We should also ensure that the expansion of Covid vaccination is promoted rapidly. Out of the 31,000 new cases that have been reported, most of the cases have come from Kerala and Maharashtra.
increasing pace of vaccination
So far about 62 crore people have received the first dose of Covid vaccine in the country, more than 21 crore people have received the second dose. 99% of health workers have received the first dose and 84% have received the second dose. Dr. VK Paul, Member Health, NITI Aayog said that about 2/3 of the adult population has received a single dose of the COVID vaccine. 66% of people aged 18+ received at least one dose, with almost a quarter of the adult population receiving both.
