Earlier, Delhi Capitals had made an RTM bid of Rs 20.75 crore for Pant, but Lucknow Super Giants increased the bid to Rs 27 crore, after which Delhi Capitals decided to back out.Pant was released by Delhi Capitals before this year’s auction. He was a part of this team since 2016 and was made the captain in place of Shreyas Iyer in 2021.
