Infosys Performance Bonus and Salary Hike:Infosys, one of the leading IT companies of the country, has announced a huge bonus to its employees. The company has announced to give 90% average performance bonus to its eligible employees for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25. This bonus will be given mainly to mid- and junior-level staff, who form a major part of the total 3.15 lakh employees of the company. The company has said that this bonus will be paid along with the November salary. This bonus is a result of the company’s excellent Q2 performance, in which Infosys reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 6,506 crore, a year-on-year growth of 4.7%.

Which employees will get this bonus?
Infosys has clarified that this performance bonus is onlyE6 and below bands Employees will get.

E0 to E2: From freshers to technical leaders.

E3 to E6: Employees in mid-level positions.

E7 and above: Senior-level employees, who will not get this bonus.
This step has been taken to encourage those employees who have contributed to the company’s success in important areas like delivery and sales. The company wrote in the email sent to the employees while announcing the bonus, “With your hard work and dedication, we have been able to further strengthen our leadership in the industry. This bonus is a thank you for your extraordinary commitment.”

Infosys second quarter results
In the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2025, Infosys performed well for the second consecutive quarter. The company’s consolidated net profit increased by 4.7% to Rs 6,506 crore, while revenue increased by 5.1% to Rs 40,986 crore. Infosys benefited from growing demand from the financial services sector and the success of large contracts in the quarter. Due to this, the company increased its FY25 revenue guidance to 3.75% to 4.5%, which was earlier 3% to 4%.

Bonus Payment Process
This bonus of Infosys is based on the performance-based standards of the company. However, individual payments may vary according to the performance and contribution of the employees. This time Infosys has not shared the information about the average bonus given to different units in personal emails. It is believed that this has been done to avoid possible dissatisfaction.

Salary increment also announced
CEO Salil Parekh has also announced to start salary increment for select employees from January 2025 and implement it for all employees by April 2025. This move comes after the freeze on salary hike in FY22 and delayed appraisal in FY24. This salary increase plan reflects Infosys’ rising revenue guidance and the company’s strong performance in the market.
