Papergames has released the first major update for its new flagship title, Infinity Nikki. Version 1.1, called “Season of Shooting Stars”, introduces a series of new features aimed at enriching the gaming experience and expanding the customization possibilities for stylists. The update went live on December 30th and brings with it new events, outfits, features, and improvements. Version 1.1 introduces new limited-time events that offer the chance to earn exclusive rewards. Among these, the “Wish Wishes Kissed by the Stars” event stands out, which allows you to accumulate Diamonds and obtain the sketch of the “Stardust of Memory” earrings. Additionally, the update offers free rewards for logging in daily. The limited-time banner allows you to obtain two new outfits, each with unique effects: 5-star “Wishing Wings” and 4-star “Shooting Star Radiance”. “Wish Wings” grants the ability “Paper Crane: Floating”, which allows the character to float gracefully in the air, while “Sparkle of Shooting Stars”, when worn with the “Praying Hands” pose, generates a shooting star crossing the sky.
Version 1.1 also introduces a new intermediate chapter in the game’s main story, which promises to deepen the narrative and offer new ideas for the evolution of the plot. In addition to the events, the update introduces new exclusive missions, unlockable after completing the “Go to the Dream Warehouse!” mission. These missions allow you to further immerse yourself in the Season of Shooting Stars and earn valuable rewards, such as clothing sketches, diamonds, and more. Version 1.1 of Infinity Nikki not only adds new content, but also brings a series of improvements aimed at optimizing the gaming experience. For example, the evaluation mechanism of the Style Challenges has been improved: now it is possible to wear more than five accessories and the system will automatically select the 5 with the highest scores to calculate the final score. The experience of using the shrinking ability has also been improved: it is now possible to open the “Wardrobe” and change Nikki’s clothes while using this ability.
The in-game photography experience has also been improved. When using Momo Camera or Snapshot, photos appear full screen after they are taken. Additionally, in Nikki’s Scrapbook, Scrapbook, Expeditions and Snapshot Hourglass, you can zoom in on photos and hide icons. Improvements have also been made to the display of makeup when wearing clothes and changing abilities, and to the display of Essences in photos. The update also includes improvements to the display of some poses, making them more fluid and realistic. With Update 1.1, a new stage of Miravoyage is introduced. Designers can purchase “Faraway Hymn” and “Miraculous Epic” to unlock additional rewards, including a special Momo Cloak, Stellarites, Diamonds, Revelation Crystals, and the exclusive “Lucky Key” avatar frame. Additionally, Mira Crown’s progress is reset and a new phase begins, which will last from December 30, 2024 to January 12, 2025. In this phase, each Fantasy and Romance piece will receive a +3% score bonus during challenges.
