Mahindra Electric’s side
Mahindra Electric has used the name ‘BE 6e’ for its electric SUV model. The company has registered this trademark under Class 12 (Vehicle) category. A statement issued by the company said, “Mahindra revealed its electric origin SUV BE 6e and XEV 9e on November 26, 2024. Mahindra has applied for trademark registration under Class 12 (Vehicles) for “BE 6e”, which is a part of our electric origin SUV portfolio. We don’t see any conflict as Mahindra marks “BE 6e” and not the standalone “6E”. This is fundamentally different from IndiGo’s “6E”, which represents an airline. Therefore, there is no possibility of confusion in this. The distinct styling further emphasizes their uniqueness.”
