India-Sri Lanka series crisis, change in match schedule; Sri Lanka’s top team may not play !!

The expansion of Covid is pushing the cricket world back into crisis. The BCCI, which has sent two different teams to the two countries, is now concerned. Covid is spreading the word among the players of the two teams that India are to play. England went down against Pakistan without many of the key players because of Covid. Covid has also put the Sri Lankan camp in crisis.

The ODI series, which was scheduled to start on July 13, has been shifted to July 17. The second and third matches will be played on July 19 and 21. The three T20 matches will be played on July 24, 25 and 27. All matches will be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The team led by Shikhar Dhawan has already arrived in Sri Lanka. Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid is the coach of the team.

The spread of Covid in the Sri Lankan camp is reported to be severe. Covid has also been affected by batting coach Grant Flower. The schedule has been changed to give other players more time to quarantine. The BCCI is trying to provide all possible support for the series. Currently, India has sent a second tier team to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is in a similar situation now.
