The ODI series, which was scheduled to start on July 13, has been shifted to July 17. The second and third matches will be played on July 19 and 21. The three T20 matches will be played on July 24, 25 and 27. All matches will be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The team led by Shikhar Dhawan has already arrived in Sri Lanka. Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid is the coach of the team.

The spread of Covid in the Sri Lankan camp is reported to be severe. Covid has also been affected by batting coach Grant Flower. The schedule has been changed to give other players more time to quarantine. The BCCI is trying to provide all possible support for the series.
