Dubai: India won the second warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup. In the second match, India defeated Australia by 8 wickets. Batting first, Australia scored 152 for 5 while India lost just two wickets in 17.5 overs. India had beaten England by 7 wickets in the first warm-up. Australia won the toss and elected to bat. In the first over, R Ashwin took time to recover from a double. In the middle overs, Australia did not score as expected. For India, Ashwin took two wickets while Bhuvneshwar, Jadeja and Rahul Chahar took one wicket each. After a long absence, Virat Kohli bowled. The Indian skipper conceded just 12 runs in two overs. In reply, KL Rahul (39) and Rohit Sharma (60) gave India a good start. The duo put on 68 for the first wicket. Rohit, who hit 3 sixes and 5 fours in 41 balls, was injured when he retired to pave the way for other batsmen. Suryakumar Yadav (38) and Hardik Pandya (14) then helped India win the toss. Eight bowlers bowled for Australia but it did not matter. With this, all the warm-up matches of India ahead of the World Cup came to an end.
