This year the main topic of Republic Day celebrations is the 75th anniversary of the Constitution, but the theme of tableaux is ‘Golden India: Heritage and Development’.
In fact, today on 26 January, the whole of India is drenched in the color of 76th Republic Day. Today, there will be a Republic Day parade at 10:30 pm. During this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial, after which he will arrive to see the parade on the duty path and according to tradition, the national flag will be hoisted and then there will be a national song, in which 21 cannon salutes will be given. .
Today, 16 tableaux of various states and union territories and 15 tableaux of central ministries, departments and organizations will be displayed in the parade. Indonesia President Prabovo Subianto will be the chief guest on the occasion. A marching squad and a band from the band will also participate in the parade. Subiayanto will be the fourth President of Indonesia to participate in the Republic Day celebrations. Indonesia’s first President Sukarno was the chief guest at India’s first Republic Day celebrations in 1950.
Guests invited to the ceremony
About 10,000 special guests have been invited during the ceremony this year, including Jayavayu activists, families of martyred soldiers and beneficiaries of various government schemes. These guests also include the distinguished guests who have made a significant contribution in the construction of ‘Swarnim Bharat’.
Delhi Police issued traffic advisory
According to the traffic advisory of Delhi Police on the occasion of Republic Day, diversion is applicable on the roads leading from the parade route (which extends from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort). Especially the C-hexagon area has been closed since 9:15 pm on Saturday night. The Republic Day parade will begin on January 26 at 10:30 am. The parade will pass through Vijay Chowk, Kartavya Path, C-Hexagon, Tilak Road and Bahadur Shah Zafar Road, which will end at the Red Fort.
