Bineesh was released on bail on Friday but was released on bail. So could not get out. Bineesh was released a year later. The ED may approach the Supreme Court against Bineesh’s bail.
Binoy Kodiyeri and his friends had come out of the jail to receive Bineesh. Bineesh said that the conspiracy in the case will be revealed after his arrival in Kerala. Bineesh will arrive in Kerala on Sunday. ED officials did not need to know anything about the case. Bineesh said the officials wanted to know the names and details of the case in Kerala.
The court granted bail to Bineesh on two sureties of Rs 5 lakh, stating that he should not leave the country without permission, that he should appear before the investigating officers and the court, should not influence witnesses and should not destroy evidence.
The bailiffs initially withdrew due to the strict nature of the bail system. Fear of being monitored by the ED reportedly prompted him to withdraw. By the time the bailiffs arrived instead, the court time had passed. The bail proceedings were completed after the bailiffs were brought in on Saturday.
Bineesh Kodiyeri was arrested by the ED on October 29, 2020. Bineesh was released on bail less than a year after his arrest. Bineesh was questioned in ED custody for 14 days after his arrest. Bineesh was then remanded in judicial custody at the Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara Jail from November 11, 2020.
