Indian star Ravindra Jadeja again topped the all-rounders’ list in the latest Test rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday. He left behind Jason Holder of West Indies. Jadeja had moved up to number one after scoring an unbeaten 175 and taking nine wickets in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali earlier this month, but was replaced by Holder last week. Now Jadeja has again reached the top with 385 rating points.
Ravichandran Ashwin remains third in the all-rounders’ list and second in the bowlers’ list. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remains at the fourth position in the bowlers’ list. Skipper Rohit Sharma has slipped a rung to seventh in the batsmen’s list but is still on top among Indians. Former captains Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant continue to be ranked ninth and 10th respectively.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam has moved up three places to fifth place. Mohammad Rizwan and Usman Khawaja of Australia have also taken long jumps. Rizwan, who played an unbeaten 104 in the second innings of the second Test against Australia, has moved up six places to joint 11th with David Warner. Khawaja, who scored 160 and 44 in Karachi, has gained 11 places to be at number 13.
In the ODI rankings, Kohli has retained his second position but Rohit has slipped a place to the fourth position. Babar Azam tops the list while South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock has moved up to the third spot. Bumrah is ranked sixth in the bowlers’ list in ODIs while Jadeja is joint 10th with Zimbabwe’s Sean Williams.
