Huynh Nhu and the Ho Chi Minh City woman stopped walking
The competition between Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Club and Vietnam Coal and Minerals is the highlight match in the semi-finals of the 2024 National Cup. Huynh Nhu’s Ho Chi Minh City women’s team is the defending champion of the National Championship, while Vietnam Coal and Minerals Nam is the defending National Cup champion. These are also the two most stable women’s teams currently.
However, Vietnam Coal and Minerals women are rated better thanks to 3 wins in the group stage, while Ho Chi Minh City women only have 4 points. But the advantage of the female mining team was not maintained for too long. In a messy ball in front of the goal, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan controlled the ball and scored accurately to equalize 1-1 for Ho Chi Minh City women.
In the second half, Vietnam Coal and Minerals created great pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City women’s field. However, Quach Thu Em played excellently and helped the home team defend the score. On the contrary, Tuyet Ngan and Huynh Nhu had some notable finishes, but the Ho Chi Minh City women also did not score a goal.
Tied 1-1 after official time, the two teams entered a penalty shootout. Vietnam Coal and Minerals excellently won 3-2 and won the right to play in the final match.

In the second half, Ha Nam played better than the first 45 minutes. However, the strikers of the northern representative missed many opportunities. Hoang Van, Thanh Hieu or Tuyet Dung probably only blame themselves because they were very close to the goal. In the end, Thai Nguyen T&T won 2-0 and entered the final match.
