Hindustan Unilever Q3 Result : Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) released the results for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25. The company’s net profit increased by 19% to Rs 3,001 crore, which was Rs 2,519 crore in the same quarter last year. Along with this, an increase of 1.7% was recorded in total income.
surge in net profit
HUL’s net profit rose 19% to Rs 3,001 crore, which included one-time gain of Rs 507 crore. This profit came from the sale of the company’s Pureit business. Despite this strong performance, if this exceptional gain is removed, net profit remained stable (flat).
Revenue and domestic performance
The company’s standalone revenue grew 2% to Rs 15,195 crore, with the home care segment showing strong sales growth of 6%. Categories like fabric wash and household care recorded high-single-digit volume growth. However, overall domestic volume growth remained flat, which was attributed to negative mix of products.
Profitability and Margin
HUL maintained EBITDA margin at 23.5%, which is a healthy indicator. However, this margin was 20 basis points less than last year. Pre-tax profit (PBT) increased by 16% to Rs 3,978 crore. Barring exceptional gains, profit after tax remained almost stable.
How was the condition of the stock?
On the day of results, the share price of Hindustan Unilever remained stable at Rs 2,343. However, the increase in net profit and strong performance of the home care segment has attracted the attention of investors. HUL’s third quarter results reflect its strong operating efficiency and strategic decisions. Although domestic volume growth remained stable, net profit and revenue growth have strengthened the company’s position.
