Honda launches CB300F Flex Fuel:Honda bike running on flex fuel has been launched in the Indian market. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has introduced its most awaited bike CB300F at a price of Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Booking is going on for Honda CB300F, the country’s first bike running on flex fuel. Customers can also place orders for the new bike from Honda’s Bigwing showroom.
This is the country’s first bike to run on flex fuel
Honda CB300F has a 293.52cc engine. This engine is compatible with E85 fuel. That means the engine of the bike will generate power and torque using E85 fuel. E85 fuel is a mixture of ethanol and petrol. It is prepared by mixing 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent petrol. Use of flex fuel will reduce pollution in the environment.

Let us tell you that India is running a campaign to increase the use of ethanol. The Government of India has set a target of using 20 percent ethanol in petrol by the financial year 2025-26. The Indian government also sees the move by auto companies to introduce flex fuel as an economic benefit as it reduces dependence on imported oil and creates jobs in the domestic agriculture and manufacturing sectors.
Engine Specifications
The engine in the flex fuel-powered Honda CB300F bike is capable of generating 24.5 bhp power and 25.9 Nm torque. The flex fuel version generates additional 0.5 bhp power and 0.9 Nm torque compared to the petrol model. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for transmission. It has 17 inch alloy wheels, seat height of 789 mm and 177 mm ground clearance. The latest bike has a golden colored front fork and 5-step adjustable rear mono-shock set-up.
