Fans of “Sex Education” know it well. The house that serves as the setting for the Netflix series was put up for sale for 1.5 million pounds sterling (the equivalent of R$9.2 million).
In the plot, whose fourth and final season recently premiered, it is in which the protagonist Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) lives with his mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson). This is also where the sex therapist meets her patients.
In real life, the property is in the village of Symonds Yat, in the county of Herefordshire, England. It overlooks the River Wye and was used by people who liked to enjoy the salmon fishing in the area.
Built in the 19th century with Norwegian design, the property has five bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over three floors. Information can be found on the website of the company Knight Frank, which negotiates the property.
The real estate agent describes the house as “truly magical, full of personality and charm.” “Your eyes can’t help but be drawn to the beautiful surroundings,” the ad says.
The house was completely renovated by the current owner, who purchased the property in 2002. The dining room was expanded and the bathrooms were renovated.
Furthermore, it sits on a 1.8-hectare plot of land, which also has a large lawn, a path down to the river, an orchard, a vegetable garden and two greenhouses. A chapel next to the property is also subject to purchase, but in “separate negotiation”.
