The sit-in protest started on September 3, 2019 by Diyarbakır mothers, who hold HDP responsible for the abduction of their children to the mountains, continues on its 675th day.
Taşyıldız, who set off from Çorlu by bicycle and reached Diyarbakır 11 days before, visited the families who were on guard duty in front of the HDP provincial building and conveyed their support to them.
Taşyıldız told reporters that families who protest for their children should not be left alone.
“I am very happy and proud to come here as the son of a country that has suffered a lot from terrorism for years.” Taşyıldız called on everyone to support their families.
Taşyıldız said, “I hope all of the families here will be reunited with their children as soon as possible, and our country will be freed from the scourge of terrorism. The longing of these mothers will end as soon as possible.” said.
Father Süleyman Aydın, who made a statement on behalf of the families, also thanked Taşyıldız for his support.
Stating that Taşyıldız heard the cries of his parents and came to the city on his bicycle for support, Aydın said, “I hope it will set an example for other people. We invite everyone here. Let them visit us. Let’s reveal the inside of the HDP together.” used his statements.
