A video in which a mother elephant is struggling while teaching her newborn to stand has left people in shock. This “once in a lifetime viewing” video posted on YouTube also shows the end result of the mother’s persistence.

The video has been posted on the official YouTube channel of Latest Sightings with a caption that reads, “Desperate elephant tries to make newborn stand up”. The channel also posted a descriptive caption recording the incident in detail – in the words of field guide Brett Marneweck, who originally captured the video.
“At some distance, I caught sight of something – an elephant seemed to be in trouble. was giving!”
The field guide further said, “The elephant tried to help the calf to stand, but pushed rather hard. His inexperience showed, but at the end of the day, it was a heartwarming scene. Eventually the baby elephant stood up, leaning on its mother for support.
