Pandya’s position is not sure
Former India captain Rinder Sodhi has ruled out a place for India in the T20 World Cup squad. “I do not think Hardik Pandya should definitely be in the team. He is a talented cricketer. Pandya was very disappointed in the recent Sri Lanka series,” Sodhi told India News.

Shardul will take the place
Sodhi says Shardul Thakur should be considered an all-rounder more than Hardik Pandya. Thakur’s impressive performance in Tests Thakur, who scored a half-century in both innings of the Oval Test, also took crucial wickets. Sodhi believes that Thakur can do well in Tests as well as in T20s.

The turning point player
Great hope for the World Cup
Shardul Thakur is a player who can win the game with both batting and bowling. He will be able to turn the match around at the stages the team needs. Shardul is a tough challenge for Hardik Pandya. Sodhi also said that he may be considered as a replacement for Pandya.
