In its Q4 2024 earnings report, Take-Two Interactive finally provided a more precise window for the launch of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI on PS5 and Xbox Series. Previously loosely slated for 2025, the game will now see the light of day in fall 2025. “As we approach fiscal 2025 with strong positive momentum, we expect to achieve net revenues between $5.55 billion and $5.65 billion dollars over that period,” the company said.
“This forecast reflects the narrowing of the launch window previously established by Rockstar Games, moving from the generic 2025 to the fall of 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations due to the commercial impact of the title continue to grow”.
Rockstar Games has announced that GTA V has sold 200 million copies, an extraordinary feat that makes it the second best-selling title of all time, although still 100 million copies behind the top spot occupied by Minecraft. Other than a trailer, Rockstar hasn’t shared any further details about the most anticipated game of the decade. There are also rumors that the studio is planning to launch the original Red Dead Redemption game on PC, but so far there is no confirmation on this.
