Google revealed its new smartphone, Pixel 8a, to the public and officially announced the arrival of the Pixel Tablet in Italy. The Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch OLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a density of 430 PPI. Supported by a refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz, essential for video game enthusiasts and those who love to consume multimedia content. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection ensures resistance to scratches and impacts, while a maximum brightness of 2000 nits and an excellent contrast ratio improve visual quality even in direct sunlight.
Despite its small size, which facilitates portability, the Pixel 8a does not neglect power: it is equipped with a 4492 mAh battery which guarantees up to 72 hours of battery life with the Extreme Energy Saving mode active. Fast and wireless charging options offer convenience and energy efficiency. On the performance front, the new Google Tensor G3 processor, supported by the Titan M2 security coprocessor, promises to handle demanding applications and protect personal data effectively. The photographic capabilities are no different, with a 64 MP rear camera and a 13 MP ultrawide one that allow you to obtain high quality images in all conditions. Connectivity is also cutting edge with support for Wi-Fi 6E, 5G, and a variety of satellite navigation systems.
At the same time, Google introduced the Pixel Tablet, which after the US launch also arrives in Italy. With an 11-inch LCD display and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, the tablet is not only ideal for media consumption, but also stands out as a home hub thanks to its integrated cradle, which turns the device into a control center for the smart home. The elegant and modern design of the Pixel Tablet, made with sustainable and recycled materials, combines with advanced features such as Google Meet for HD video calls and a battery that guarantees up to 12 hours of video streaming. This device is also the first tablet with Chromecast built-in, allowing for easy media sharing. Pixel 8a will be available for pre-order from May 7th and on sale from May 14th with a launch price of 549 euros.
