Palakkad: Film star Prakash Raj says that he can breathe freely in India which includes Kerala. KGOA leader Dr. Prakash Raj was speaking after accepting the award instituted by the KGOA State Committee in memory of NM Muhammadali.

“I come from two Indias. The first is the India of fools who shout Santa Claus Murdabad. The second is India, which includes Kerala. I can only breathe freely in India, which includes Kerala. My thanks to God’s own country for keeping these giants out of the way,” Prakash Raj was quoted as saying by Malayala Manorama.

State Speaker MB Rajesh presented the award to Prakash Raj. Despite being a villain in cinema, Prakash Raj is a hero who exposes the real villains in life and by honoring him, he respects the Indian Constitution, freedom of expression and secularism.

Prakash Raj is one of the strongest fighting artists in India for civil liberties such as freedom of speech, expression and justice. He came out in public to protest the killing of his close friend, journalist and human rights activist Gauri Lankesh by communal fascist forces. He was later in an uncompromising struggle against the communal fascist forces.

He fearlessly speaks out directly against the threats posed by Hindutva forces for civil liberties. The speaker also shared a picture with Prakash Raj on Facebook saying that the voice should be raised even louder.
