In the post shared by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the X social media platform, it can be seen that he has an eye-covering patch over his right eye and scars on his face.
Prime Minister Scholz said, “I look forward to seeing the comments. Thanks for the well wishes but it looks worse than it is.” he said.
Government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said in a statement in Berlin that Scholz is in good health and will continue his normal schedule.
Scholz was injured when he fell while jogging on Saturday, and it was announced that his face was crushed due to impact. On the other hand, Scholz, who came to his office in the Prime Ministry today, will attend the Munich International Automobile Fair (IAA) tomorrow.
Scholz will speak at the Bundestag as part of the budget negotiations on September 6, before going to the G20 Leaders Summit in India on September 8.
