In January-August of this year, the production of natural gas by the Russian “Gazprom”, according to preliminary data, increased by 17.9 percent compared to the same period last year – up to 337.2 billion cubic meters.
According to the Russian energy company, due to the cold and snowy winter, demand for natural gas has increased in Russia and Europe.
During this period, Gazprom’s exports to non-CIS countries by 19.4 percent – up to 131.3 billion cubic meters.
Gas exports to Turkey in January-August increased by 173.6 percent, to Germany – 39.3 percent, Serbia – 123.9 percent, Romania – 344 percent compared to the same period last year.
Gazprom’s revenues from natural gas exports in 2020 fell by 39.6 percent compared to the previous year and amounted to $ 25.2 billion.
