Former India opener Gautam Gambhir was on Saturday appointed as the mentor of the new Lucknow franchise. He will be seen mentoring the team in IPL 2022. Kolkata, who won the title twice, will benefit from joining the team. Let us inform that the Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises have joined the IPL before 2022, due to which the number of teams has increased to 10. However, the name of this team has not been decided yet.

He has scored 4218 runs in 154 matches in IPL career at an impressive average of 31.01. This includes 36 fifties.
