For closer cooperation with Armenia and Azerbaijan, it is necessary to create a new regional platform, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told journalists, summing up the results of his visit to Armenia, Novosti-Georgia reports.
Garibashvili considers his visit to Armenia a success and emphasizes the important role of Georgia in the mediation process in the region.
“I had a very successful visit to Armenia. My initiative is for us to start cooperating in the region and to create a new platform within which we, the three countries, will begin close cooperation, and Georgia has an important role in this process, ”the prime minister said.
He recalled that in June, with the mediation of Georgia, the Armenian military were released, and Azerbaijan received maps of minefields.
The Prime Minister noted that Georgia will continue to actively play the role of a mediator between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
