Netgroup Spa is present at the G7 with an absolute novelty in the fight against cybercrime. The Italian company specialized in Cybersecurity and leader in the sector launches the “Horus” patent, an innovative solution to counter the increasingly important problem of ransomware attacks. Horus, we read in a note, represents the culmination of years of research and development, combining the latest discoveries in Artificial Intelligence with a deep understanding of modern cyber threats. The patent introduces an innovative technique to identify and neutralize threats in real time, dramatically reducing the risk of data breaches and operational disruptions.
Horus, thanks to a sophisticated automatic system for collecting and analyzing data from the Deep and Dark Web, offers a concrete response to the growing threat of ransomware, the hacking technique that results in the theft of data from companies or institutions and then asking for a ransom . The software developed by Netgroup is able to collect real-time information on the hacker groups responsible for the attacks, the types of malware (malicious software), the targets and the extent of the damage and provide crucial information showing the geographical spread of the attacks, the most active hacker groups, details of the attacks and classification of the sectors affected. Therefore, if a threat is detected, Horus is able to automatically activate security protocols to isolate and neutralize the danger, minimizing potential damage.
“This announcement marks a significant step forward in the field of cybersecurity, highlighting how AI, if used well, can become a fundamental ally in protecting global digital infrastructures. With Horus, we are redefining the standards of cybersecurity: this patent not only represents a technological advancement, but also a commitment to a future in which AI works alongside humans to create a safer digital world”, declares the president by Netgroup Giuseppe Mocerino.
