The Spanish men’s football team will face the host country, France, for gold in the grand final of the Paris Olympic Games competition, which will be held this Friday, August 9.
Spain comes into this match after beating Morocco in the semi-final, where they achieved a final score of 1-2 thanks to goals from Fermín López and Juanlu Sánchez, which led Santi Denia’s team to the grand final after a difficult match. The team led by Achraf Hakimi competed hard and well.
France, meanwhile, are in the men’s final after facing Egypt in the semi-finals, where they won 3-1. Although the Egyptians started out winning, the French quickly turned the game around thanks to two goals from Mateta, followed by a third from Michel Olise which sealed the match in favour of the hosts.
