There is a good news for the people of Uttar Pradesh. Finally, Noida International Airport successfully conducted the first flight validation test today, paving the way for the airport to start its operations in April next year.
According to reports, an IndiGo flight took off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport with only crew on board and landed on the runway after necessary security checks.
Jewar airport is located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh and is targeted to start operations in April next year.
Airports Authority of India officials will monitor this technical evaluation.
The idea behind the test run is that this flight ensures that the Jewar airport’s landing and takeoff procedures, navigational and communication systems and infrastructure meet regulatory and safety standards.
