MIA News Agency in North Macedonia quoted a notice from the Ministry of Home Affairs that at least 50 people were killed in the nightclub in the town of Kocani, about 100 km east of Skopje.
The media said the fire broke out in Pulse nightclub, at the time of about 1,500 people attending the concert, the event was mainly young people participating.

Declaration from the Northern Macedonia prosecutor’s office said that the number of people were killed and injured in the fire.
Local media company SDK reported that the fire started at about 3 hours on March 16, local time, quoted information from rescue forces said more than 100 injured. Some injured people were taken to treatment at Kocani General Hospital. According to Sky News, Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski was on his way to the scene of the fire.
