Tilak Varma and Physht Krishna are out
The young players Tilak Verma and Pradit Krishna, who were in the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup, will not be in the World Cup squad. Being a left-handed batsman gave Tilak a chance. But till now India has not played the player in ODIs. Suryakumar Yadav will get a place in the fifteen-member team after Tilak.
There was a competition between Shardul Thakur and Prasad Krishna to be named the fourth pacer. After Shardul was placed in the playing eleven in the Asia Cup against Pakistan, there was little chance of being considered famous.
No Sanju Samson
Malayalee player Sanju Samson has not been included in the fifteen-member team that has been fixed at present. Sanju was the 18th reserve player in the team for the Asia Cup. Sanju was dropped after KL Rahul recovered from injury and returned to full health. Apart from Rahul, Ishan Kishan is another wicket keeper in the Indian team.
Although Sanju has a good record in ODIs, the player has not been in good form in the last T20 matches played. Injured KL Rahul to join India’s Asia Cup squad
They were not considered
With the announcement of the team for the Asia Cup, it was certain who will be included in the Indian team for the World Cup. Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan’s career was almost over. Dhawan is a good player in big tournaments but his athleticism is not that good now.
India consider only Kuldeep Yadav as the main spinner. Yuzvendra Chahal is out despite having a good record in India. Chahal also did not have a place in the Asia Cup team.
