Presenter Fausto Silva, 73, spoke for the first time after hospitalization, in São Paulo, at the beginning of the month. In the video, released on Saturday (19) on social networks of his son, João Guilherme Silva, Faustão praised the medical team, thanked the family for their care and asked for prayers. Good-humoured, the presenter mentioned that “luckily” he hasn’t died yet and “who decides is the boss upstairs”.
The video was published by João Guilherme Silva early this Saturday morning. Faustão said that the doctors will decide which type of surgery will be best for his case. The presenter was hospitalized on August 5 at Albert Einstein Hospital to treat heart failure, according to a note released by the doctors.
Faustão began by talking about his daughter’s debut as a singer after her last show on Band, shown on Friday (18). He pointed out that it has the greatest surgeon in the world, physician Fábio Gaiotto; and cardiologist Fernando Bacal. And he even advertised the work of doctors “who also operate through the SUS”.
Fausto Silva said he is still undergoing treatment and is waiting for the medical team to position him for the surgery.
“Luckily I haven’t died yet. I’m prepared for things in life. I’m still undergoing treatment. I ask that those who like me, pray for me. Now, I have a lot of notion of the wonderful family I have, an extraordinary woman. And with all that , who decides is the boss from above”, added the presenter.
Fausto Silva’s state of health is stable, according to information from the family. In the medical bulletin, signed by cardiologist Fernando Bacal and by the medical director of the hospital, Miguel Cendoroglo Neto, on the 17th, Faustão “is stable and in intensive care”. The Folha report found that the presenter’s condition is not serious.
