Shyam Benegal celebrated his 90th birthday only 9 days ago. His birthday was on 14th December. However, now this sudden news has broken the hearts of the fans.
Shyam Benegal, who gave 50 years to the film industry, may be no more in this world but he has given many hit films in his career. Benegal was awarded the Padma Shri in 1976 and the Padma Bhushan in 1991 by the Government of India. His successful films include “Manthan”, “Zubaida”, and “Sardari Begum”. It is noteworthy that at the age of just 12, Shyam made his first film with the camera given to him by his father.
