The same video is being shared on social media claiming that the viral video is from Nagpur, Maharashtra, where some BJP workers are stealing EVM machines.

During Newsmobile’s investigation, we found that the viral video is being shared with misleading claims.
We investigated to know the authenticity of the video going viral on social media. First of all we started searching on Google with some related keywords.
During the search, we found the viral video on the official YouTube channel of News18, which was uploaded on November 21, 2024. Here it is told that the viral video is from the time when some people attacked the polling party vehicle with stones after the end of voting in Nagpur. It has been told in the video that after voting in Nagpur, Maharashtra, stones were pelted at the car of the zonal officer carrying EVMs.
To confirm the above information, we started searching closely on Google. During the search, we found information regarding the viral video on Dainik Jagran’s website on November 22, 2024. an article published found. Information is given here that Congress workers pelted stones at a car carrying EVMs in Nagpur.
It was further reported in the article that after the voting for Maharashtra Assembly elections was over on Wednesday evening, a car carrying EVMs to the strong room in Nagpur was attacked by Congress workers. After which the police clarified that the EVM which was being transported by car did not suffer any damage. According to him, it was not used in voting. It was kept for use when needed.
