Fact Check: Massage on man’s neck at barber shop did not cause paralysis attack, video goes viral with misleading claim
A video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The video is of a barber shop, where a customer gets his neck massaged by a barber, after which he is seen allegedly having a paralysis attack. The same video is being shared on social media with the claim that a man died when he massaged his neck upside down at a barber shop.
After sharing the viral video on Facebook, it has been written in the Hindi language caption that watch the video till the end….. “Never get a wrong massage done by a barber, see the consequences, a little carelessness took your life.” *Be careful, be alert*”

During Newsmobile’s investigation, we found that the viral video is going viral with misleading claims.
We investigated to know the truth of the viral video. First of all we broke the viral video into some keyframes and then started searching through the reverse image search tool on Google. During the search we got viral video Sowa International Found on a YouTube channel named. Which was uploaded on November 13, 2024. Let us tell you that this YouTube shorts was found. However, here we did not get any specific information about the viral video.
After this, we started searching closely on Google for the exact information of the viral video. During our search said video Found on a YouTube channel called 3RD EYE. Which was uploaded on November 09, 2024. Let us tell you that the YouTube video received is of 3 minutes 40 seconds.
In the caption of the YouTube video obtained above, we noticed that in the description it is stated that all the videos on the said YouTube channel are made for the purpose of entertainment and awareness.
Hindi translation- “Please keep in mind that this channel makes scripted dramas to make people aware about different situations. The channel brings social awareness videos. These short films are just for entertainment”.
Along with this, at the end of the YouTube video we received, we found that the said video is not based on the real incident, this video has been made for the purpose of awareness.
From the facts found during the investigation, we came to know that the viral video is not of the real incident but is scripted, it has no connection with reality.
