Fact Check: Has Oneida Bharat train lost its way? Know the whole truth
A post is being shared rapidly on social media. In the post, a picture of the Vande Bharat train is being shared and it is being claimed that the Vande Bharat train lost its way. The train was supposed to go to Goa but reached Kalyan. After sharing the viral post on Facebook, it is written in the Hindi language caption that “BJP is not a government of ‘double engine’, it is a government of ‘double blunder’.BJP has also put the country’s train on the wrong track.”

During Newsmobile’s investigation, we found that the viral post is being shared with misleading claims.
We investigated to know the truth of the post going viral on social media. During the investigation, we first started searching on Google with some related keywords. During search we found viral post published on official website of ZEE NEWS an article Got news regarding viral post. Which was published on December 24, 2024.
According to the website, Vande Bharat Express, which left for Margao from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal (CSMT), had lost its way in Thane district of Maharashtra. From Diva station, this train turned towards Kalyan instead of going towards Panvel. The website states that due to this glitch the train was delayed by 90 minutes and it took time to reach the destination.
We started searching closely on Google to confirm the information found on the above website. During the search we found an X handle named DRM Mumbai CR. Let us tell you that this is the official account of Mumbai Division of Central Railway.
Where it is stated here that the information contained in the viral post is factually incorrect. The train was diverted due to a problem encountered on the way. The train departed from its scheduled station i.e. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai and reached the pre-determined scheduled station i.e. Madgaon.
