Fact Check: Did Arvind Kejriwal not meet Rahul Gandhi during Hemant Soren’s oath ceremony? Know the whole truth
A video of the oath ceremony of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and other opposition leaders were present on the stage of the oath ceremony, meanwhile Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal was on the stage with other leaders of his party. Takes an entry, where he one by one shakes hands with the leaders already sitting on the stage, but in the meantime, as soon as he comes in front of Rahul Gandhi, he moves ahead without shaking hands with him. This video is being shared on social media and it is being claimed that Arvind Kejriwal did not shake hands with Rahul Gandhi.

During Newsmobile’s investigation, we found that the viral video is misleading.
We investigated to know the truth of the video going viral on social media. First of all, we started scanning the video of the oath ceremony of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. During the search, we first found the full video of the viral video clip on Dainik Jagaran’s official YouTube channel. Which was uploaded on November 28, 2024.
After watching this video of 1 hour 55 seconds found on YouTube, we found the part where AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal can be seen shaking hands with Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for about 14 minutes 24 seconds.
From the video obtained above, it became clear that the viral video is incomplete, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal had first shaken hands with Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. We started searching more closely on Google for a confirmation of the video received.
During the search, we found the full part of the viral video on the official X handle of Hemant Soren on November 28, 2024. posts made Found in, where the video of this entire program was uploaded live. The complete video of the program is approximately 1 hour 23 minutes and 49 seconds long. After watching it for about 1 hour 04 minutes, we found that the entire portion of the viral video is present here. It can be seen here that the Aam Aadmi Party convenor first shakes hands with Congress leader and Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi.
From the facts found during investigation, we came to know that the viral video is incomplete, it can be clearly seen in the entire video of the program that Arvind Kejriwal was the first to shake hands with Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
