Former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh died on 26 December 2024 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. On 28 December, his last rites were performed with state honors at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi. Meanwhile, a video clip is going viral on social media which is being shared claiming that no Congress leader attended the last journey of Dr. Manmohan Singh.
After sharing the viral video on Facebook, it is written in the Hindi language caption that “Except the security personnel, no one else will be seen on Manmohan Singh ji’s last journey. Not even a single Congressman has come, only fake Gandhis are in demand in Congress.”

During Newsmobile’s investigation, we found that fake claims about the viral video are being shared.
We investigated to find out the veracity of the claim being shared with the viral video. During this time we started searching on Google with some related keywords. During the search, we found information about the last journey of late former PM Manmohan Singh on Aaj Tak website. a reportWhere information was given that earlier his body was brought to the Congress headquarters for the last darshan. From here his last journey reached Nigambodh Ghat.
According to the report, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy also accompanied Manmohan Singh’s last funeral procession from the party headquarters to Nigam Bodh Ghat in the car. Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were also present in the convoy.
To confirm this, we started searching more closely on Google. During the search we found a live video on Jansatta’s YouTube channel. It was made live on 29 December. It was also told that Rahul Gandhi was involved in the last journey. Rahul Gandhi can also be seen in the video.

Along with this, we also found a post of Deccan Chronicle on X, in which Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy can be seen taking part in the last journey of Manmohan Singh. During this time, many Congress workers are also seen walking on foot in the funeral procession.
