The European Union condemns malicious cyber activity associated with the Russian state and dubbed Ghostwriter. This is stated in a written statement by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“Actions that threaten our integrity, security, democratic values and principles, and the foundations of the functioning of our democracies are unacceptable,” Borrell stressed.
According to him, this activity is directed against a large number of members of parliament, government officials, politicians, representatives of the press and civil society in the EU.
Borrell urged Russia to adhere to the norms of responsible behavior in cyberspace.
