Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke over the phone with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov.

According to a statement released Monday by the communication department of the Turkish presidency, Erdogan and Japarov discussed bilateral relations as well as regional issues.

During this interview, the Turkish head of state congratulated his counterpart on the 30th anniversary of the independence of Kyrgyzstan.

Japarov also congratulated President Erdogan on the Great Victory Day, celebrated on August 30 each year in Turkey.

The same source also said that Erdogan said his country will continue to support the stability, prosperity and development of Kyrgyzstan.

During this telephone conversation, the two men further agreed to continue to take measures to strengthen relations between the two countries.
