President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with his Tunisian counterpart, Kaïs Saïed.
This is what emerges from a statement shared on Monday by the Turkish presidency.
During his meeting with Saïed, President Erdogan assured that the maintenance of stability, peace and serenity in Tunisia is important for the peace of the region while indicating for these reasons the developments in Tunisia are closely followed. .
The Turkish head of state also affirmed that it is precious to protect democracy, guarantee freedoms and respect the rule of law in Tunisia.
In addition, Erdogan insisted on the importance for regional democracy and Tunisia to allow the parliament to continue its activities despite the difficulties and to resolve the problems within the framework of a healthy dialogue.
The latter said in particular that he believed that Tunisia will continue its path in a strengthened manner, leaving behind this complicated period.
