Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanovic. This is stated in the message of the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.
They discussed issues of cooperation in the elimination of forest fires that covered a number of regions of Turkey.
The leaders also exchanged views on the state of bilateral ties.
President Erdogan thanked his colleague for the words of sympathy over the connection with the wildfires in Turkey, solidarity and support in the fight against the natural disaster, including sending a fire plane.
The head of the Turkish state noted that against the background of such events, allied relations between Turkey and Croatia acquire even greater significance.
