Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with the interim President of Mali, Assimi Goita.
The parties discussed bilateral relations between Ankara and Bamako, as well as topical issues on the regional agenda.
Erdogan noted that Turkey will always support the friendly and fraternal people of Mali.
Ankara is in favor of ensuring stability, security and economic development in Mali, the Turkish leader said.
The early establishment of constitutional order and the holding of democratic elections in Mali are critical, Erdogan said.
According to the head of state, Ankara strives to strengthen trade and economic relations and develop cooperation with Mali, in particular the military and defense industry.
Erdogan also noted Turkey’s readiness to share its experience in the fight against terrorism with the friendly and fraternal Republic of Mali.
Ankara is determined to strengthen and continue cooperation in this area with Mali and the countries of the region through both bilateral and multilateral mechanisms, the Turkish leader added.
