Erdogan and Aliyev laid the foundation of the Dost Agropark in Zangilan


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation for the first phase of the construction of the smart Agropark Dost in the Zangilan region of Azerbaijan, liberated from the Armenian occupation.

The leaders of the two countries visited the territory of the Agropark Dost, which will be created in Zangilan at the expense of Turkish and Azerbaijani investments.

The presidents also visited the territory where a memorial to the Azerbaijani servicemen who died in the Karabakh war will be built, 29 cypress trees were planted in memory of 29 dead soldiers – natives of the Zangilan region, as well as trees in memory of other soldiers.

On the instructions of the heads of state, agricultural technology scattered the first seeds in the agricultural park.

Erdogan and Aliyev also visited the Victory in Karabakh exhibition organized by the Anadolu agency at the Dost Agropark. The exhibition features photographs about the Second Karabakh War and Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship. Chairman of the Board and General Director of AA Serdar Karagez informed the presidents about the exhibition.

President Erdogan presented the AA book “Victory in Karabakh” to Aliyev.

Karagez, in turn, presented the book to Minister of Environment and Urban Development Murat Kurum, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu.

The construction of the agricultural park will be carried out in three stages. At the first stage, administrative buildings, a biomass gasification facility, 5,200 square meters of covered livestock buildings, 113,000 square meters of semi-open pens for animals, social facilities, a cafeteria, a cinema, recreation areas, living quarters for personnel, areas for pasture livestock and others will be built. …

The agricultural park will contribute to ensuring the food security of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and the region’s agricultural and livestock products will be supplied to the international market.

Upon completion of all phases of construction, 500 people will be provided with work, an investment ecosystem worth more than $ 100 million will be created.
