Electronic Arts has revealed the features of EA Sports F1 24, the latest chapter of the official video game of the FIA Formula One World Championship. The game is scheduled for release on May 31st, earlier than previous editions, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on the EA App, Epic Games Store and Steam. The game introduces new EA Sports Dynamic Handling, designed to deliver more precise control and a more realistic driving experience, bringing players closer to the actual racing action. Working in close collaboration with reigning world champion and Champions Edition cover star, Max Verstappen, this system has been refined to simulate reality through the controller.
EA Sports claims to have revolutionized the driving model by introducing an updated tire system, improvements to the aerodynamic simulation and new engine and car configuration options. These innovations allow players to receive immediate feedback and maximize performance on the track, with variables such as cornering, rolling resistance, brake pressure and weather conditions influencing the ride. Updates to famous circuits such as Silverstone, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the Lusail International Circuit and the Jeddah Corniche Circuit ensure that the tracks in the game closely match the real ones.
The fan-favorite Career Mode now offers the chance to compete as one of the 20 drivers in the 2024 F1 season or create your own legend. The game introduces new dynamics such as reputation building, performance-influenced upgrades and long-term career goals, as well as the ability to compete as a duo or as rivals in a two-player career. F1 World, the heart of multiplayer and time trials, returns with new features, such as the Fanzone, where players line up with their favorite team and driver over the course of a Podium Pass season and join a limited-time gaming championship featuring collaborative objectives as you compete against rival teams.
