78-year-old Trump will meet Vice President J.D. Trump at the US Capitol on January 20 at 12 noon. Vance will be sworn in, with Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath. A large number of people are expected to participate in this occasion.
The official ceremony will begin with a reception at Trump National Golf Resort, his golf resort in Sterling, Virginia, that will include a grand fireworks show. The main event will end with Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
Coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day
This year’s inauguration is especially significant because it coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, making it the first time in a century that a president will be sworn in on a federal holiday.
The four-day event will include a variety of activities: a fireworks display, a dinner with dignitaries, a MAGA rally, a swearing-in, a parade, three inaugural balls and a national prayer service on January 21.
